How To End a Conversation

Ever feel awkward at a show when you realize that you are speaking to someone who has no need for your company and/or product(s)?  Disengaging a conversation is neither rude nor impolite.

Use these helpful phrases to disengage conversation.

How To End a Conversation With An Unqualified Lead

  • "I'm glad we had this opportunity to talk today..."
  • "I've taken enough of your time today..."
  • "Based on the information shared today, we can't help you.  But here's our website if you need us in the future.
  • "Thanks for dropping by..."

When using these key disengagement phrases, always give them a handshake (symbolizing a polite goodbye), hand them a brochure or an inexpensive promotional item.
